Working Together To Fulfill The Vision
Partnership, two or more parties cooperating together in pursuit of the same goal, is a critical part of successfully fulfilling any ministry in the church. Members must understand that the work of the ministry is a team effort and must be fulfilled through the cooperative efforts of a team, not the isolated task of individuals. In I Corinthians 12:12-13 the Apostle Paul teaches the importance of teamwork and unity in the church for the furthering of the gospel. For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many are one body: so also is Christ. For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. Here, Paul is explaining that although we may have differences in our personal lives, we are all one unit when it comes to the things of the Spirit. We must work together, depend on, share with, support and respect each other for the goal of spreading the gospel. This is that attitude that must be adopted by every partner in ministry.
