Faith and Finance - One in the Same
Objective
To prove that faith and finance are intimately connected.
Vocabulary
Faith - natural acts that affect spirit realm as a force used to relate with God and receive from Him.
Finance - natural acts that affect spirit realm as a force used to relate with God and receive from Him. God's planned opportunity for us to spend time with Him.
Blessing - empowerment from God to prosper.
Promise - commitment and the thing committed from God to Bless His covenant partners.
Faith = finance w/PROMISE (Mark 11:21 - have faith of God)
- Gal. 3:14 - promises by faith
- Deut. 8:18 - wealth by promise, because He promised Abram
- Phil. 4:19 - My God shall supply your need…according to His riches
Faith = finance w/WISDOM
- I Cor. 1:30 - Christ wisdom
- Ecc. 9:15-16 - poor man's wisdom despised
Faith = finance w/RIGHTEOUSNESS
- Heb 11:4 he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts:
- Rom. 3:22 - righteousness by faith
Faith = finance w/SALVATION
- Jude 21 -24 - faith to get others saved
- I Thes. 4:9-12 money to keep others from having excuse
Faith = finance w/PROFIT
- II Tim. 2:14-15 - study to show thyself approved - workman
- Isaiah 48:17 - teacheth thee to profit
- Heb. 4:1-2 no profit, not mixed with faith
Finance Activates Faith
- I Tim. 6:10-12,17-18 - Fight the good fight of finances
- God doesn't want you going after money, He wants you going after Him and in Him is money - He gives richly
- I Kings 17:8-16 Elisha and the widow woman
- God spoke to both of them
- Prophet never addressed her situation just gave her opportunity to get into faith - by giving
- Luke 5:1-11 Peter and fish
